Apply for the 驻场作家 Opportunity

Lawyers, 像记者, understand the importance of compelling storytelling and that honing this art takes time and practice. The D.C. 靠谱的滚球平台协会法律学生社团 offers aspiring attorneys a unique opportunity to ramp up their interviewing and writing skills, 获得出版荣誉, 建立他们的简历, and expand their professional network through one-on-one interactions with legal thought leaders across practice areas.

The 驻校作家计划 invites up to three law students, enrolled full-time or part-time at any law school in the country, to collaborate with the Bar’s editorial team on various content production projects. Working alongside the Bar’s staff writers, participants will:

• Interview Bar members and other legal experts
• Cover events in the legal community
• Assist in research, fact-checking, writing, and editing
• 被出版! Your content could be posted on the Bar’s multimedia channels, including the 适时地指出 blog award-winning flagship publication, 华盛顿靠谱的滚球平台.

The 驻校作家计划 is not an internship; selected students will not have a set number of weekly or monthly hours. Students will work independently but are also expected to collaborate with the editorial staff during the residency.

资格

• The 法律系学生社团 驻校作家计划 is open to law students enrolled in the 2024–2025 school year in any law school in the DMV area. Selected students must be able to attend in-person events.
• The ideal candidates will be 2L, 3L, and 4L students, but 1Ls may also be considered.

• Selected candidates must attend editorial brainstorming meetings every other month from October through May. (Exact dates to be provided prior to acceptance.) The first meeting will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
